What is Cost per Install (CPI)?
A cost per install (CPI) is the amount that an advertiser pays a publisher when someone clicks on an advertisement and then installs the advertiser’s mobile app. CPI is one of the most common metrics used to measure the effectiveness of mobile ad campaigns and to compare the performance of different advertising methods or platforms.
CPI is dependent on a lot of different factors, such as:
- Country or region
- App category
- Device platform
- Ad network
You can calculate CPI as follows:
Total campaign spend / number of installs = CPI
